Mouse Button Swapper
Description:A simple Windows Application that allows the user to swap the function of the left and right hand mouse buttons without the need to drill down to the Windows accessibility settings
Scenario/Persona:Any left-handed computer user would find this useful.
Accessibility setting in windows can be difficult to find. Click on an icon to automatically switch to left/right handed mouse.
How it works:The user launches the application and then simply selects the left or right mouse button as the main mouse button. Whichever is selected will be displayed in red (see screen shot below). With the orientation of the mouse in the image if the right-mouse button is selected then it is the default mouse (left button selects and right button gives menus) and with the left-button selected it shows a left-handed mouse (i.e. right button selects and left button gives menus). The change is instant and can be reversed immediately.
